Movement square

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence, the square next to the Rokiškis Cultural Center was named Movement Square. The author of the idea is Paulius Gaigalas – a public health specialist. The wall of the Cultural Center was marked by a well-known sign of the Lithuanian Movement  and the inscription below it says: “The first rally of the Movement took place in this square on September 9, 1988.”
