Uosintas Lake Shore

There is a swimming area, but no infrastructure for recreational use. Cars are parked in the parking lots in the center of Duokiškis town or in areas where parking is not prohibited by traffic regulations.

A child-friendly beach with changing cabins, benches, a children’s playground, a volleyball court, and a bonfire site. There is a wooden information stand with the name, pointing toward the pond. A parking lot is available.

Fragments of Panemunis Manor Estate

The Panemunis estate is located on the left bank of the Nemunėlis River, looking back to the late 16th century to early 17th century. In 1598, Panemunis was granted to Duke Jurgis Masalskis and his wife Ona Masalskienė, who, after being widowed in 1605, remarried Duke Martynas-Marcelijus Giedraitis of Videniškiai. In 1635, the Giedraitis family sold the estate to the Oziemblovskis, who established the manor on the right bank of the Nemunėlis River. In 1773, the estate passed to the Marikonių family. In 1840, the Komaras family became the owners. Juozas Komaras (?-1898) built (or rebuilt?) the manor house in 1850. After Juozas Komaras’ death, the estate remained the property of his widow and daughters, Sofija Komaraitė Gurskienė and Elžbieta Komaraitė Krasickienė. Elžbieta Komaraitė Krasickienė and her husband Vitold Krasickas lived at the manor until 1924. Afterward, the estate was purchased by Osvaldas Laučiškis. After 1945, a school was established in the manor house. In 1993, the manor buildings were returned to the descendants of Osvaldas Laučiškis. The manor owners thank you for your understanding and respect for privacy.

Fragments of Kraštai Manor Estate

In the 1775 census of Ukmergė County, Kraštų Manor is mentioned as part of the Obeliai parish. The current manor house was built by Juozas Tupalskis in 1892. Near the house, J. Tupalskis created a park and a garden. After his death in 1904, the estate was inherited by his cousins, Juozas and Edvardas Tupalskis. From 1923 to 1966, a school operated in the manor house. The school occupied the large room, and a flat was rented for the teacher. Between the wars, a dairy was set up in the manor’s basement. In 1946, the dairy was moved, and only a milk collection point remained in the manor. In 1940, the estate was nationalized. Juozas Tupalskis’ family fled to Poland, and Edvardas Tupalskis’ family was exiled to Siberia in 1948. In 1949, a collective farm office and a shop were established in the manor, with the milk collection point transferred to the collective farm. Around 1966, the collective farm office relocated, and the building stood without repairs. In 1990, the manor was returned to the Tupalskis, who later sold it.
