The observation tower of Sartai lake stands in Baršėnai village, Rokiškis district, in the territory of Sartai Regional Park. 2006 it is privately funded. Sartai Lake Observation Tower is 33 meters high. Along the metal steps from above, landscaping terrain of the current Sartai region park, scenic panorama of Sartai lake, has been created from the top of many thousands of years ago by glaciers that have been destroyed by glaciers. The tower can be visited during the light hours of 9 am – 22 pm.
Sartai is the fourth largest lake in Lithuania (1337 hectares). The largest lake width is 950 meters, the average is 500 meters. The coastline runs around 80 kilometers. There are 7 islands on the lake. The largest island is 6.5 hectares. The origins of the name of the Sartai are explained by legends that mention the horses that sink in the lake for the race year.
