The Plunksnočiai forest, between Juodupė and Žiobiškis, was an attractive place for partisan fighting. At that time, this forest was a large swamp with a hill in the middle. Partisans dug out their hiding place here. Now this forest looks different: well cut, dry, easy to access. Foresters tidied up the tracks leading to the partisans bunker. In the postwar period, the bunker was hidden in a remote place, if not for betrayal, no one would ever known about it. This bunker is special: it is believed that bunker was the longest-standing bunker in the country, as partisans were still there until 1956.
