Panemunis Holy Trinity Church

In Panemunis region there was strong pagan tradition until 1780. Panemunis is awarded by destiny – Holy Trinity church. The current stone and brick church was built in 1927-1936 by initiative of pastor Vincentas Norkus.

By the way, there are three priests who came from this region. Vladas Mironas – was written in the history of independent Lithuania as one of the famous political figure of the state. Priest, translator of religious literature, nurturer of Lithuanianness, gospeller Romualdas Stakėnas and priest Konstantinas Stašys, one of the first priests who started to preach sermons in Lithuanian language.
