The current Pandėlys church is built in 19th century by Ignacas Koscialkovskis. During Worl War I church was devastated. Wooden towers were fired by artillery and completely demolished; all three bells were taken to Russia. Unfortunately, only one bell was returned back after the war.
Towers which were demolished during the war, rebuilt only in 2006 and the bells which hung in them are gift to Pandėlys church from German believers. Lucia – the largest of four bells – weighs more than 350 kg.
