The Kriaunos History Museum was founded in 1987. The museum has exhibitions of history and ethnography. In them – work tools and products of various craftsmen from the land (carpenters, smiths, weavers, fishermen), installed in the 20th century the interior of the village farm. A lot of attention is paid to the history of Kriaunos region, the famous landlords. On the second floor of the museum there are exhibitions. Currently, Kriaunos Museum has more than 10 thousand exhibits.

Preschool children, children visiting homes, groups of socially disadvantaged pupils (disabled persons), museums of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the International Museum Council (ICOM), members of the International Art critics association (AICA), guides and tour guides attend free exhibitions and exhibitions. .

Handwriting history

Participants will learn the history of handcrafts in Europe and Lithuania, hear a story about their evolution in the age of the stream, get tips on what kind of handbag suits, what’s the current fashion of hands. Since handbag’s ancestors were bags, the participants of the educational program will be able to make bags of gifts, herbs or small things, and decorate them. You can also explore the museum in over 100 ethnographic, interwar and soviet periods and handmade handbags.

“Bitute Pilkoji”

During the educational program, the participants will get acquainted with the beekeeping story of the bee products, their benefits, learn interesting things about the life of the bees and create a candle from the wax sheet.
