Lukštai St. Jonas the Apostle Evangelist Church

Rokiškis count Jonas Pšezdeckis applied for permission to set up a chapel in Lukštai distillery and appoint a priest. However, later became clear that walls of building were too weak and unsuitable for chapel. Construction was not successful: the project was not followed, materials were stolen during the Worl War I. Finally, church was built in 1925. Stone church has neo-romantic and neo-byzantine style features. The main altar is decorated with two paintings made by artist V. Palaima.
