Hares park

There is a legend that Rokiškis was found more than a half century ago by the hunter Rokas. The name of the town derives from hisname and is very associated with hares too. It is said that there were a lot of hares in our lands at that time and Rokas liked to hunt them which led him to stay here. So thats why hares are so loved in Rokiškis. A “Hares park” has been established next to the Rokiškis regional museum. Decorative bunny sculptures-benches and chairs invite to sit down, relax, and see whether you are bigger than a carrot held in a hare’s paws.
