Grave of the book smuggler J. Zauka (1862-1943) in the Obeliai Cemetery

Born in Radviliškis region, Baisiogala on 23 February, 1886. In 1880 he traveled to Petrapilis, where he became an active press dealer. 1908 J. Zauka arrived in Kuršo Subatė. He established a choir and a group of artists here. 1915 J. Zauka was elected as a chairman of the Society of the Poor ones in Petrapilis, organized Lithuanian nights, organized the return of Lithuanians to Lithuania. Since 1920 taught at Norkūnėliai Folk School in Obeliai district.
