St. Anne’s Church in Duokiškis was built in 1906, a wooden structure in folk architectural style.

The Duokiškis manor was donated to the Kamajai Church in 1650. A wooden chapel in Duokiškis was mentioned in 1796. Father Kazimieras Mačionis, the altarist of Baisogala, arrived in Duokiškis in 1904, completed the construction of the rectory, and began organizing the building of the church. The church was completed and consecrated in 1906. The old chapel was demolished, and its altar and furnishings were moved to the new church. In 1915, three bells were taken to Russia. After World War I, two new bells were acquired. In 1923, a springtime association was established. Thanks to the efforts of Father Kazimieras Turlas, the church was covered with tin in 1938. The parish owned 13.9 hectares of land (obtained through the efforts of Father Julius Pauliukas). From 1939 to 1946, Jonas Matulis served as the administrator of Duokiškis St. Anne’s Parish. On December 18, 1946, he was arrested, sentenced to five years, and deported to Siberia (Russia), where he was imprisoned in a labor camp until 1951. He returned to Lithuania in 1951. Father Lionginas Neniškis served as the priest in Duokiškis from 1952 to 1990 (1915–1990; he is buried in the churchyard).
