Duokiškis hare

To commemorate the centenary of the restoration of Lithuania,residents of Duokiškis dedicated a campaign “Give 100 hares”. Many bunnies ran, came, flew not only from the farthest corners of Lithuania, but also from Germany, and settled in “Kiškių ūlyčia”. The first hare settled in the wilderness on the Soviet concrete landmark that marked the beginning of the Duokiškis collective farm. From here to the town – a couple of kilometers more, so hare welcomes and accompanies everyone who visits Duokiškis.
