Birthplace of lawyer Mykolas Romeris

The birthplace of lawyer Mykolas Riomeris (1880-1945) is in Bagdoniškis Manor (Bagdoniškis district). A famous lawyer, a member of the Supreme Tribunal of Lithuania, a public figure, a professor at the University of Lithuania, a rector of Vytautas Magnus University, a professor at Vilnius University M. Romeris, was born and raised there. Law University is named after him.

After the loss of hosts, Bagdoniškis manor became abandoned. After independence regaining, the descendants of M. Romeris recovered ownership of the manor.
